Are fiberglass rods old fashioned? Certainly not. They are certainly tools for great landing fish these days. Professional anglers have their choice of either soft or hard fiberglass rods. Rods have to offer extreme sensitivity, comfort and amplify the angler's adrenaline rush when fish striking.

There are a couple of differences between hard and soft fiberglass rods that make them special. Hard ones are thicker, which offers more weight at the center of the rod. This results in longer casts and greater distance. Soft rods do not have the thickness of the cast and are lighter. This is advantageous when trying to land fish from further away, which can be common on big bass lakes and rivers. This also allows the fissure to cast the rod more nimbly, improving its chances of landing a strike.

There are two types of fiberglass rods available: plastic and sinta. Sinta is generally considered to be a lower grade than plastic. But does this mean it is a weaker product? Far, from it. Plastic rods are built to last a long time. They are made with good quality materials and are assembled by skilled craftsmen, while the sites are generally factory built. The reason why this pultrusion is so popular is because it's both strong and durable.

The biggest difference between these two rods is the way they react to water. Whereas sinta fiberglass rods absorb water very quickly, plastic rods take a bit longer. Fishing conditions such as fog or rain have no effect on either type of rod.

When purchasing a new rod, it is always recommended that you invest in some fiberglass rods and pole binders. Plastic and boron bound rods deteriorate faster than boron bound ones. Because of this, it is recommended that you purchase a quality boron reinforced rod before making your purchase. Most garcinia cambogia brands sell rod binders made from boron. These products help to lengthen the lifespan of your fishing equipment.

Last but not least, there is the question of which material is best for you. Both graphite and bamboo make for great fishing rods. However, they differ in certain areas. Therefore, it is up to you to decide which one is best for you!

For example, graphite rods are known for their great sensitivity and fast action. This feature is great for a beginner, because it allows them to move quickly and catch fish quickly. On the downside, the fish may be able to escape or perhaps tail out. It is also important for a beginner to realize that slow action is often times more frustrating because you will have to put in more time to cast your line.

For those who are more advanced at fishing, there are two types of modern fiberglass fly rods on the market today. They are the flex and high modulus models. The flex model is similar to the original S-glass model but with modern fibers and metal inserts to create a more lightweight rod. This is the perfect model for the intermediate or novice angler.

High modulus pultruded fiberglass rods are typically made out of a high-modulus boron nitride material. Because of the extreme strength of boron, this type of rod is very strong, which enables it to resist corrosion from moisture and salt. Many high modulus fiberglass rods are flexible as well, so they can also be used by beginner anglers who aren't as experienced.
